We have just a few cases of our 2013 LOTUS Pinot Noir and OM Syrah limited edition reserve wines remaining after releasing them to you last month. We are excited to share with you the ratings we just received from Jeb Dunnuck, formerly of The Wine Advocate, who rated them both 96 points. I am sure the last few cases will go fast with these outstanding scores so order now if you want to snag a few bottles!
2013 LOTUS Pinot Noir – Sta. Rita Hills
The 2013 Pinot Noir Lotus is a single barrel selection (there’s only 25 cases) that spent 22 months in barrel followed by three years in bottle. Deeper ruby and translucent, with a classic style in its black cherry and raspberry fruits, this beauty has medium to full body, complex notes of spice box, dried earth, and sous bois, building tannins, and a great finish. It’s a beautifully complete wine and is going to be one of the longest lived in the lineup. Give bottles 2-3 years – $85/Bottle – Wine Club discounts apply – 6 bottle limit
2013 OM Syrah – Sta. Rita Hills
The 2013 Syrah Om spent just under two years in neutral barrels before being bottled. Deep ruby/purple-colored, with rocking notes of smoked black fruits, black olives, pepper meat, and bacon fat, this sensational wine is locked and loaded on the palate, with beautiful purity of fruit, sweet tannins, and a blockbuster finish. It’s a character-filled, smoking good wine. I only wish “SAMsARA” would make more Syrah! – $75/Bottle – Wine Club discounts apply – 6 bottle limit
