UCSB Alumni Professors at the Pub

The UC Santa Barbara “Professors at the Pub” speaker series held their most recent monthly event at our Goleta Winery & Tasting Room facility and featured UCSB Professor and award-winning author, Jeffrey Stewart. Professor Stewart shared his insights on the birth and evolution of jazz music, along side a 3 piece jazz band.  

We shared our wines and space with jazz aficionados, general music lovers, and educators at large. We learned first hand that jazz and wine make a very natural pairing!

Both Matt Brady, SAMsARA winemaker and Jen Malkin, SAMsARA Sales Manager are UCSB Alumni and loved exploring the history of jazz music with fellow Gauchos!  

The event was a great way to kick off our own upcoming series of educational seminars that will focus on topics of wine-making, viticulture, and the special geography of the Santa Barbara wine growing region.
